The challenge
Orders were being taken over direct messages. Stock, pricing and dispatch dates lived in a notebook, and every sale required a manual conversation.
Strategy
Move the catalogue online with honest lead times shown per product, so made-to-order expectations are set before payment rather than after.
Design
Product-led layouts with large photography, minimal chrome, and a checkout stripped to the fewest fields that still capture a deliverable address.
Development
WooCommerce with variant handling, per-product dispatch windows, weight-based shipping rules and gateway integration tested in sandbox before go-live.
What was built
- Variant and made-to-order product handling
- Per-product dispatch window display
- Weight-based shipping rules for India
- Coupon and gift card support
- Order and inventory management for a two-person team
Where it landed
Orders are now placed, paid and tracked in one system, with dispatch expectations set before checkout rather than in a follow-up message.
