The challenge
The existing site scored poorly on mobile and took several seconds to render, but a handful of practice-area pages were responsible for most inbound enquiries and could not be put at risk.
Strategy
Treat it as a migration project first and a design project second: map every URL, preserve the pages that earn traffic, and improve them rather than replacing them.
Design
A restrained editorial system with a strong type hierarchy, suited to long-form insight content.
Development
A complete rebuild with a redirect for every legacy URL, metadata carried across, and post-launch crawl verification in Search Console.
What was built
- Practice area and sector pages
- Insights section with author profiles
- Full URL mapping with 301 redirects
- Team directory
- Careers section with application handling
Where it landed
The rebuild launched with every legacy URL redirected and the firm’s highest-value pages preserved and expanded.
